Podcast Marketing Resources
Now we’re going to start diving into the things you do after you’ve launched your podcast.
Ideally you have told people about it before launch, but I wanted to provide some resources on marketing your podcast. It’s something that I feel like I was honestly never great at, but I do know about some people who are good at it.
First up, we have Podcast Marketing Magic, which was started by Lauren Passell and has since expanded. Seriously, go sign up for this newsletter if for some reason you haven’t yet. They have a huge backlog of great information on ways to promote your show and there’s always more to come.
On a similar note, Tink Media (also started by Lauren Passell) is a company that focuses on helping you grow your podcast. Take a look at what they offer, and even if you can’t hire them necessarily, check out this podcast promo swap database.
Cross-promotion is a fantastic way to grow your show, so do some research and find some shows similar to yours that you can promote on your show and vice versa.
If you still want more helpful marketing info, check out what Jeremy Enns has to offer over at Counterweight Creative and The Scrappy Podcasting Newsletter.
I’ll continue to share more resources as I come across them, but these should give you plenty to start promoting your podcast more effectively.
Next week, I’ll drop my interview with Arielle Nissenblatt who works at Squadcast, which was just acquired by Descript. Check out that announcement here. The interview, however, is totally unrelated to that.
